Go hide it’s gettin’ chilly outside

We teamed up with one of our favorite small-batch coffee companies, Blackout Coffee Co, to design this month’s Bitch Brew—a smooth, non-bitter brew of incredibly flavored coffee. And oh, do we have some drink recipes for y’all. Brewing hot with some cream and sugar is always a go to but we wanted to spice (or SPIKE) up this beverage.

Long Island Iced Coffee

This refreshingly deceiving drink will excite your taste buds. The aftertaste packs a punch—for sure! The small detail of the coffee ice cubes won’t water down this mixxy and the liquor won’t overwhelm or take over the savory coffee taste. This drink would be perfect for a morning at a tailgate or a cool morning at a campsite.

Ingredients

  • ½ oz. Baileys
  • ½ oz. Kahlua
  • ½ oz. vodka
  • ½ oz. rum 
  • ½ oz. tequila
  • 4 oz. of Brewed Bitch Brew
  • coffee (room temperature) 
  • Coffee ice cubes

Instructions

Brew 2 cups of coffee and let it cool down to room temperature. Pour into an ice cube tray and freeze overnight. The next morning, brew 4 oz. of Bitch Brew coffee. Mix the warm coffee with all liquor ingredients. Pour mixture over a few coffee ice cubes.

Whipped Mocha Cinnamon Coffee

This non-alcoholic, easy-to-make recipe is definitely one for the books. Smell the sweet and woody cinnamon as you sip this elevated drink. The hot chocolate powder adds a twist to the whipped topping you wouldn’t imagine; the cold and hot balance each other perfectly. Stay warm on cool mornings, tastes like fuckin’ fall.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp hot chocolate mix powder
  • 5 tbsp heavy cream
  • 8 oz. brewed Bitch Brew coffee
  • Cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

Pour Bitch Brew coffee into a well-sized mug. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, whip together the heavy cream and hot chocolate powder until the consistency is thick and whip-cream-like. Top off the coffee with chocolate whipped cream and a dash of cinnamon. 

Casino Coffee

COFFEEliquor! This recipe has to be our fav because of the simplicity but more so the TASTE! When the whip melts from the warmth of the coffee, it creates a milky texture and adds a sweet flavor. The syrupy amaretto stays with your taste buds well after you sip. This is a perfect fireplace, fuzzy-sock drink for a nice night snuggled in. We LOVE a good hot and cold combo! 

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ oz. amaretto
  • ½ oz. dark créme de cacao
  • ½ oz. brandy
  • 5 oz. brewed Bitch Brew coffee
  • Whipped cream
  • Chocolate (milk or dark)

Instructions

Combine the brandy, dark créme de cacao, amaretto, and black coffee in a glass. Top with whipped cream mixture and a mini chocolate bar or chocolate shavings (super easy with a cheese grater!). Serve and ENJOY!
